Premier property developer bags two awards at inaugural NEA 2016!
Monday, 16 January 2017 – Aster Luxury Cluster homes by UMLand Seri Austin was not only recognized as Southern Best Development of the Year – Residential Landed (Platinum), but also the overall National Best Development of the Year – Residential Landed based on judges’ scoring and public ratings in the inaugural Noble Excellence Awards 2016 held at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPac). It was a certainly a double celebrations indeed for UMLand Seri Austin!
Aster Luxury Cluster home built on 32’ x 75’ of land size each comprising of 2601 sq feet including with initiatives as the integrated green building design covering renewable energy (solar hot water system), indoor environmental quality (outdoor air ventilation rate at 5% of the openings), ultra-low VOC and anti-formaldehyde paint which able to control indoor pollutant, and, rain harvesting tank for water efficiency. The unique to the Award was the public voting feature where members of the public can vote for their preferred development through the website and social media. The public voting which contributed 30% while the judges responsible for another 70% of the winning outcome shows the public recognized the achievement of Seri Austin developments in better living through modern housing, affordable homes, as well as smarter and greener communities.
The inaugural Noble Excellence Awards is one of the few Malaysian awards to honour the achievements of exceptional completed property developments and to highlight outstanding projects, as well as identify and honour conscientious developers who seek to make a real impact in the community residing within and around their projects. This award was designed for the industry to benefit home buyers and create a healthy & sustainable ecosystem between buyers and sellers.

Adding to DVSB’s list of FIRSTS is Seri Austin’s dedicated bicycle lane for safer travel among those who wish to reduce their carbon footprint by not using cars. The bicycle lane stretches approximately 7.3 km around the Seri Austin Township and is well designed with proper signage, integrated within the road network. In August 2016, Seri Austin launched the FIRST Iskandar Malaysia’s Riders Point to serve as an inter-city meeting and resting point where cyclists can rejuvenate themselves before continuing their journey. Working together with the MBJB, DVSB was the FIRST Township that participated in the Adopt-A-Park program to preserve, beautify and maintain of the town park after handing over the town park to the authority body.
In December 2014, Seri Austin Town Parks was the FIRST recognized as Smoke Free Town Parks and in July 2015, Seri Austin Gallery was gazetted as the FIRST Smoke Free Work Place in Iskandar Malaysia. Both were Blue Ribbon Recognition from the Ministry of Health. In 2015, DVSB was given the opportunity to become the FIRST private organization to support Johor Talent Development Program, a program to prepare fresh graduates for the career world.
