IJM Land building up a fanfare of Chap Goh Mei event at Seremban 2
Seremban, 19 February 2019 – Despite the less favourable weather condition, it was an exciting ball of a time for visitors who thronged Seremban 2’s City Park recently as IJM Land Berhad held its annual Chap Goh Mei celebration with the theme “Reunion in S2 with Joys Anew”《元宵团圆,喜乐年年》. The Chap Goh Mei festival started with a steady flow of rain on Saturday, yet the downpour didn’t deter festival-goers from participating and being entertained with a host of activities prepared by IJM Land, starting from as early as 7.00am with the yearly Chinese Calligraphy Competition, and – to add to this joyous celebration – Seremban 2’s City Park took on an animated affair in the evening as visitors were entertained with an acrobatic high-pole lion dance performance by the Persatuan Kesenian Gui Qing along with other acts including a Chinese Orchestra 5-piece band by Efficient Music, percussions performance by Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Chan Wa’s 24 Seasons Drum, Cultural Dance by Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bukit Mewah and a game of Chinese riddles. Other fun-filled activities such as street food and fun games were enjoyed by visitors as well.
