Seremban, 28 January 2019 – As we are nearing a festive season, IJM Land Berhad will be hosting its annual Chap Goh Mei celebration at its flagship development Seremban 2’s City Park. Celebrating with the theme “Reunion in S2 with Joys Anew”《元宵团圆,喜乐年年》 on 16 February 2019, IJM Land’s highly-anticipated event will be kicking off with a host of activities lined up to celebrate the auspicious occasion, which will leave residents longing for more. IJM Land’s annual celebration marks a significant event for the esteemed developer in having the opportunity to celebrate a prosperous season with residents of Seremban 2 along with potential buyers – enhancing community bonds among individuals and rejoicing with loved ones as they revel around the well-designed residential area. In addition to sharing the joy, IJM Land’s Senior General Manager (Central Region) Dato’ Hoo Kim See said that this festival organised for the sixth time consecutively by the leading developer not only nurtures closer ties with the community, but to also preserve Chinese tradition and culture for generations.

It brings us great pleasure in having this opportunity to forge meaningful relationships with our community through this important festivity, which we are strongly determined to have it every year,” said Dato’ Hoo during a press conference, marking the launch of the event. “This year, as we usher in the Year of the Boar, we are set to engage and reunite with our residents – to provide them with a sensational evening filled with numerous fun activities that will bring festive cheer and joy among individuals and families from all races.”

Visitors to the event can look forward to various fun-filled activities, beginning with a Chinese calligraphy to be held from 7:00 a.m. onwards with the intention of promoting the dying art of this traditional skill. Apart from that, visitors can also explore the various street food and games booth prepared for both the old and young.


To add to this joyous celebration, Seremban 2’s City Park will showcase their spectacular acrobatic high-pole lion dance performance by the Persatuan Kesenian Gui Qing along with other acts including a Chinese Orchestra 5-piece band by Efficient Music, percussions performance by Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Chan Wa’s 24 Seasons Drum, Cultural Dance by Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bukit Mewah and a game of Chinese riddles.


IJM Land’s Chap Goh Mei celebration would be incomplete without some fanfare, and as tradition for its sixth year, guests will be graced with a Chap Goh Mei concert by renowned ASTRO Chinese artistes and celebrities including Jiang Han, Geraldine, Danny, Apple, Amy, Juztin and many others, performing their special themed concert “Symphony of Love” which will leave the audience amazed.


Dato’ Hoo said the Chap Goh Mei event is part of their continuous commitment of caring and spreading good cheer among residents and potential buyers, furthermore strengthening their bond with those they come across, as the developer gains their trust in providing them with better services.

Guests will also delight in walkabouts by the prosperous Gods of Wealth “Fuk Lok Sau” (Three Wise Men) with special giveaways and a cash booth machine for visitors to win some cash prizes. Cute and entertaining decorative section aptly named “Harvest Farm” symbolising wealth and prosperity will consist of an attraction corner of 178 ‘Ichiban Dodos’ made by students ranging from age five to 55 from Art Corridor Studio for spectacular photo opportunities, accompanied by many more stunning displays such as Lover’s Bridge and tunnel of brightly lit lanterns, culminating the event with a showcase of dazzling fireworks.
