IJM Land spreading compassion and goodwill to underprivileged families in the Year of the Boar
Seremban, 1 February 2019 – As Chinese New Year is just around the corner, leading developer of Seremban 2, IJM Land Berhad strives to make kindness as part of this festive season through this year’s “Chinese New Year Charity” Programme, in changing the lives of less fortunate families in Seremban. Always believing that no individuals should be neglected during festive seasons, IJM Land extended their support by providing the basic human needs to reduce the burden of five underprivileged families in Seremban – in the hope of making positive transformation in their lives. Dato’ Hoo Kim See, Senior General Manager (Central Region) of IJM Land said he hopes to spread the message of love and charity and make a difference for the future of those in need, taking that first step to empower them in making a change for the better.
Dato’ Hoo Kim See, Senior General Manager (Central Region) of IJM Land Berhad and Yang Berhormat Tuan Cha Kee Chin, Ahli Parlimen Rasah together with IJM Land staff members visiting Leong Yin Nee and family for IJM Land Chinese New Year Charity Programme.
“More than 20 years’ operating in Seremban 2, IJM Land’s dedication has always revolve around the Seremban community, and we hope that the people we come across would do the same for those in dire need – in extending their kindness, care and sympathy without expecting anything back in return,” said Dato’ Hoo. “We hope that our contribution will not only ease the families’ burden but also establish a better future as we continue our efforts to support meaningful initiatives such as this ‘Chinese New Year Charity’ Programme.” The initiative was led by Dato’ Hoo and staff members of IJM Land Berhad, also joined by the honorable guest Yang Berhormat Tuan Cha Kee Chin, Ahli Parlimen Rasah.
The developer also approached their ‘Home Rehabilitation’ Programme partner, Golden Hover Furniture (Seremban) Sdn Bhd to contribute furniture such as sofa, coffee table, studying table and storage drawers – providing a better and comfortable living situation to the family. Additionally, each family received an ‘ang pow’, groceries and Chinese New Year cookies from IJM Land to ease the burden in preparing for the celebration. One of the recipients, Ms Loo Chai Inn who suffered from kidney failure received a brand-new wheelchair and commode chair from IJM Land, equipping her with the essential well-being. IJM Land also aided another recipient, Ms Mary Yap, whose abode was recently destroyed in a fire, staying with her 74-year-old mother with Alzheimer’s disease in an apartment.
Dato Hoo’ explained that understanding their background and supporting them in the slightest way possible leads to greater emotional resilience and develop a generous character towards others. “Throughout these years, we have set out to empower lives with care and unite the community in trust, to serve those in need – allowing us to rebuild lives and move forward to a brighter future,” said Dato’ Hoo. “As we indulge and celebrate during this joyful occasion, let’s not forget those in need of our compassion, and continue to honor the tradition of giving while creating a trail of beautiful memories.” For more information on the above initiative, please log on to: http://seremban2.ijmland.com/
