Today’s women make up more than half the world’s population as well as the global workforce. Their rising influence in raising family and decision making can no longer be denied or ignored. The modern career woman is also fast gaining popularity as the sole breadwinner of the family. Single mothers are also increasingly prevalent throughout the world, as divorce rates continue to escalate. Crimes against women have also skyrocketed.
The embodiment of the sacred feminine has inspired millions of women to rise up to make a difference in the world. Women continue to work hard and smart in their everlasting quest for gender equality and moral justice. Feminism has evolved in leaps and bounds throughout human history to reach its apex or pinnacle.
Women are no longer subjugated and subservient to men. Cooking and cleaning are no longer the exclusive domains of the fairer sex. Today, we pay tribute to the women in our lives – be it our mother, sister, spouse, lover, colleague or friend. We salute the women who have created milestones in the history of mankind. We cherish the women in our families who continue to toil and persevere at work and also at home. We believe in the power of women in creating a beautiful, equitable and peaceful world. Last but not least, “Behind every successful man is an even more successful woman!” – HFM
