Our aim is to remind ourselves who we are as Malaysians and how unique our country is as we celebrate the 61st Merdeka Day and 55th Malaysia Day. As the adage does, “A picture is a poem without words”, this year, we decided to team up with Kenny Loh to co-curate a photography exhibition to tell the stories of the peoples of Kuala Lumpur. Our goal with this exhibition is to allow a wider audience to reconnect with the history and rich cultures of Kuala Lumpur – both past and present.”

Through photography, Loh aspires to document life stories and capture the diverse beauty of Malaysia. “By photographing the interesting personalities sharing their fondest memories or life stories, it teaches us the importance of diversity and how it has shaped the growth journey of Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia,” said Loh.
