Kuala Lumpur, 3 November 2017 – Hong Leong Bank Berhad (“HLB”) today launched its flagship branch in Damansara City, with a twist in digital banking branch design to bring customers a new experience through innovative service delivery. Domenic Fuda, Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of HLB explained that the new branch in Damansara City, was equipped with a suite of digital banking facilities which improves efficiency and enhance customer experiences. “Through optimizing the use of digital technologies, we are not only re-inventing our branch strategy but are also redefining the way banking is done.”

HLB’s Damansara City branch features wireless terminals and applications, allowing customers the flexibility of performing speedy and personalized Conventional as well as Islamic banking transactions anywhere within the premises to minimize queue lines. Customers are assisted by bank staff equipped with Personalized Teller tablets. This provides an alternative means to perform basic banking transactions and supports the Bank’s aim to reduce paper consumption thus minimizing their carbon footprint.
Among the few within the banking industry, Teller Assisted Units which are able to accept recycle, and dispense notes are now placed in open areas instead of traditional spaces behind banking counters. This allows for more transparent and secure management cash deposits and withdrawals. A Discovery Zone has also been introduced within the Hong Leong Bank branch in Damansara City, providing visitors access to touchscreen stations loaded with digital brochures as well as an interactive platform to customize their financial planning needs.
