In conjunction with the International Earth Day, Earthagain Sdn Bhd is organizing EarthWeek 2012 at Space U8, Shah Alam to raise awareness among the public concerning matters on the environment.
EarthWeek 2012 will start from 16 to 22 April with the main purpose of collecting 100,000 “Green” pledges for Mother Earth, which will be record in Malaysia Book of Record.
“The reason behind the Green Pledge, as the key activity, is to show that every small act counts when you are heartfelt to save our Earth,” said Cory Chan, director of Earthagain.
The next highlight activity is “Journey 4 Green”. This will be held on the last day of EarthWeek where the public can participate in the journey by walking, running and cycling, meeting together at the end point, Space U8 mall to celebrate International Earth Day. The objective of this activity is to mark Earth Day and encourage people to reduce carbon.
There are many interesting activities on this week long event, like eco film and documentary showing, horse joy ride, balloon color therapy, figurine painting competition, drum circle, green talk shows by the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water (KeTTHA) and Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (NRE), as well as a talk on environment protection by waste management specialist Dr. Theng Lee Chong.
“We’re just 15 minutes from Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam, Subang Jaya, Kelana Jaya, Denai Alam and Klang, so we’re quite confident that Space U8 is going to be the next sought after location and popular destination for those who don’t want to head towards Kuala Lumpur,” said Raja Ahmad Nizam Raja Razali, Chief Executive Officer of Space u8 Property Management Sdn Bhd.
