October 20, 2016 Kuala Lumpur – Noble Excellence Awards is the one of the few Malaysian awards to honour the achievements of exceptional completed property developments that made a difference in the lives of the communities they touched. Proudly organised by TTien Media Group, the inaugural Noble Excellence Awards serves to highlight outstanding projects, as well as identify and honour conscientious developers who seek to make a real impact in the community residing within and around these projects. It is Malaysia’s first ever award to brand the property development profession as noble. As the Award’s finalists, they are recognised as being a part of these great living testimonies of excellence in ‘Liveability, Environment and Community’. The organizing chairman of NEA 16, Mr. Eddie Tan, who said he feels the need to continuously recognise and reward the good work that has been done in developing better living through modern housing and affordable homes, and building smarter and greener communities.
A Stellar Team of Judges
In the course of the Award, the property projects were assessed by a group of judges in two judging sessions – conducted on 22 September and 20 October, respectively. The best among them will be awarded with the Platinum, Gold or Silver Noble Excellence Award (based on the scores from the judges and public voting) under 14 categories:-

The finalists include some of the highly esteemed property developers in the industry such as Asia Green Group, Ideal Property, Mah Sing Group, Matrix Concepts Holdings, OCR Land Holdings, Sime Darby Brunsfield Damansara, Sime Darby Property and United Malayan Land. The Noble Excellence Awards judges comprise of individuals who have distinguished themselves in their respective fields, who demonstrate exceptional leadership ability and vision.
“We hold our judges to the highest standards of fairness, accuracy and integrity and the team is helmed by the highly esteemed Y.Bhg Datuk Ng Seing Liong PJN, J.P, who is Past President and Patron of Real Estate Housing Developers’ Association Malaysia (REHDA),” Eddie explained.
The other judges are composed of members of Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM), Malaysia Institute of Estate Agents (MIEA), Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA), Medini Iskandar Malaysia (MIM), International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) Malaysia Chapter, Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM), Construction Project Managers Malaysia (ACPM), ASEAN Retail-Chains Franchise Federation (ARFF), and Branding Association of Malaysia (BAM).

An Award unlike Any Other
The Award distinguishes itself from others by only being open for completed projects. Eddie shared, “It is about transforming and changing the way we live for the better. The developer themselves have to present their projects to the judges in order to win the respective titles. The award is only for completed projects, as we believe recognition or celebration should be given after an excellent work has been completed. We have received multiple invitations from various industry leaders who shared the same vision. As a result, this has led us to forge stronger partnerships to benefit all stakeholders for the future.”
The judging sessions comprise the presentation by the property developers followed by a question and answer session with the judges. In both judging sessions, the judges were impressed by the bravery of the property developers who were willing to answer the questions that come from all angles. “The judges wanted to know if property developers were deserving of the awards, hence the questions. It is rare to see developers who are willing to submit themselves to such scrutiny and the participants have proven their willingness to be transparent, which is a testament to their integrity,” Eddie commented.
Also unique to the Award is the public voting feature where members of the public can vote for their preferred development through the website and social media upon the conclusion of the judging sessions in late October 2016. The public voting will contribute 30% while the judges will be responsible for 70% of the winning outcome. This ensures that the house buyers will have a say in the winners’ line up. Successful entrants will be invited to attend the Awards Ceremony at KLPAC on Monday, 16 January 2017 where the official announcements will be made. An audience of 450 to 500 people is expected.
Datuk Ng Seing Liong, the Awards Chief Judge commented, “Noble Excellence Awards will bring the real estate market to the next level as the public will be part of the judging process. As such, my message to property developers is that first, you must protect the interest of all your property buyers as they are the customers and the one paying you. Secondly, you must deliver quality products and last but not the least, you must deliver on time.”
