Appreciation lunch in honour and recognition of TIMA 2016/17 winners
Johor Bahru, 28 September 2017 – Fresh from its triumph at the Asia Property Awards 2017 last month, multiple-award township developer, UMLand Seri Austin recently organized an Appreciation Lunch to commemorate TIMA 2016/17 held at its Seri Austin Sales Gallery in Johor Bahru. The commemorative luncheon was attended by participants and winners of The Iskandar Malaysia Accolades (TIMA) 2016/17. This function was specially hosted by Mr. Wong Kuen Kong, who is the CEO of UMLand Seri Austin as well as the Acting Group Director of UMLand Townships.
The exclusive event kicked off with opening address from Mr. KK Wong followed by keynote speeches by officials from Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA), the principal organizer of TIMA 2016/17. Among the notable speakers include En. Safuan Yusof (Director, Urban Observatory, IRDA), Sr. Khaidzir A. Rasip (Vice-President, Urban Observatory, IRDA), and also Mr. Eddie Tan (Managing Director, TTIEN Media Group and Co Organizer of TIMA) who gave a video presentation entitled “TIMA Winners Trailblazer” which showcased the next plan of action leading towards the region’s vision. TIMA 2016/17 is a collaborative joint-venture strategic partnership between TTIEN Media Group and IRDA. The official coffee-table guidebooks for TIMA 2016/17 published by TTIEN Media Group were also personally handed out by En. Safuan Yusof and distributed among attendees throughout the entire event.
The Iskandar Malaysia Accolades (TIMA 2016/17) forum and award ceremony honoured a total of 23 developers and service providers for projects and landmarks that exhibit Iskandar Malaysia’s vision in positioning it as a smart region. Divided into seven main categories; “Most Balanced Community”, “Most Liveable Residence”, “Most Conducive Workplace”, “Most Happening Place”, “Most Impactful Investment”, “Most Relaxing Environment” and “Value Champion”, the awards were given to projects, services and best practices that are in line with Iskandar Malaysia’s vision, targets and objectives related to sustainability and social equity. The brainchild of Iskandar Regional Development Authorities (IRDA), the awards portray six Smart City Iskandar Malaysia dimensions in focus namely Smart Environment, Smart Economy, Smart Governance, Smart People, Smart Living and Smart Mobility. The event was also organized in conjunction with Iskandar Malaysia’s 10th anniversary celebration. Iskandar Malaysia is also the manifestation of the government’s vision to develop a world-class ‘Strong and Sustainable Metropolis of International Standing’.
Seri Austin has once again strengthened its impeccable track record in its quest towards building developments that feature conducive healthy and sustainable township. This achievement marks yet another milestone in its journey towards excellence.
