A Vital Approach Towards City Competitiveness, Vitality and Sustainability
The 7th International Conference on World Class Sustainable Cities 2015 (WCSC 2015) will be gathering a line-up of distinguished international speakers at the Royale Chulan Hotel, Kuala Lumpur this coming 29th September 2015.World-class speakers from around the world, globally renowned for their innovative ideas and excellent achievements in urban regeneration, will be engaging an anticipated audience of some 600 participants consisting of professionals from the various professional disciplines in the industry. Co-organised by the Real Estate & Housing Developers’ Association Kuala Lumpur (REHDA KL), the Malaysian Institute of Planners (MIP) and the Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM).
Started in 2009, the WCSC concept of what constitutes a World Class City has been specifically designed to showcase the best and most successful practices and experiences from cities all around the globe. The annual WCSC series which is now in its seventh year brings together innovative ideas and best practices on what makes cities sustainable places to work and live in, as well as increase the social and environmental awareness of our city dwellers and other metropolitan stakeholders on what makes a city great.
In conjunction with WCSC 2015, a Photography Competition was launched at the press conference themed “Urban Regeneration Through Smart Partnerships.” Participation from members of the public as well as professional in the various have been quite encouraging. Participants from various walks of life are invited to shared varied and interesting perspectives on how they view the city’s life & soul.
