YB DS Tengku Adnan being shown the difference between quality and poor workmanship

Speaking at the event, YB Datuk Seri Utama Tengku Adnan said, “I am proud to see that SkyWorld is the first to take this bold step of championing quality commitments in all its developments in Kuala Lumpur. I want to congratulate SkyWorld for embracing this professional quality practice by investing RM3.8 million into this 13,000 square feet SkyWorld Quality Centre. SkyWorld is one of the biggest contributors to the Federal Territories Affordable Housing programme (RUMAWIP) and SkyWorld affordable home series, SkyAwani will also be in compliance with the QLASSIC quality standards. I hope other developers could follow SkyWorld’s initiatives by offering quality homes and working hand in hand with the Federal Government in developing more affordable housing to build a better quality of life for our people.

Understanding quality difference and good workmanship

We want to continue to help reduce the burden of the cost of living of the people in the Federal Territory.” Datuk Ng Thien Phing, Founder & Group MD of SkyWorld echoed the Minister’s statement, stating, “As a responsible property developer, we always strive to provide more value-added features to our products. Purchasers are becoming more selective. So besides offering innovative, location-centric and various facilities & amenities, one important aspect is quality assurance. We believe everyone can and should be able to afford quality a home. We also spoke to CIDB and found that there are about 7,600 projects and developments completed each year and only 4.1% is quality certified. We want to be a part of the top 4% and hence the Quality Centre was born to signify our quality pledge to our purchasers. And it is for this reason that we’ve invested RM3.8 million into this centre.”
