Festive Celebration with ASTRO ALL-STARS CELEBRITIES…
Seremban, 9 February 2018 – As we are nearing a prosperous festive season, IJM Land Berhad (IJM Land) will be hosting its annual celebratory Chap Goh Mei celebration at its flagship development Seremban 2’s City Park. Celebrating with the theme “Reunion in S2 with Joys Anew” 元宵团圆，喜乐年年》 on 3 March 2018, IJM Land will not fail to impress, as this highly-anticipated event on IJM Land’s calendar will be kicking off with a fanfare of activities which will leave residents longing for more.

Having earned a reputation for providing a day of festival fun, laughter, music, variety performances and displays, IJM Land’s Senior General Manager, Dato’ Hoo Kim See said that organising and celebrating this annual event with their supportive residents and potential buyers of Seremban 2 have always been a meaningful activity for the major property developer to continue the tradition.
“Over the years, we have organised many Chinese New Year celebration events for our Seremban 2 community, with the aim of forging meaningful relationships with our community,” added Dato’ Hoo during a press conference recently marking the launch of the event. “We are always excited with the opportunity to bring the celebration to greater heights as we usher in the Year of the Dog, and we will never miss an opportunity where we can bring people together and form wonderful memories as part of the community.”
Visitors to the event will see a full-day packed programme beginning with a Chinese calligraphy competition from as early as 7.00am. This yearly Chinese Calligraphy Competition is a collaboration between IJM Land and Uni Art Fair Sdn Bhd 芙蓉书艺协会with the sole objective of promoting the art of Chinese calligraphy among young children and the community. Participants of this competition will get to enjoy this activity among the township’s relaxed park setting against a scenic backdrop of serene lake and vast surrounding greenery. Seremban 2’s City Park will also take on an animated affair in the evening as visitors will be entertained with an acrobatic high-pole lion dance performance by the Persatuan Kesenian Gui Qing; a Chinese Orchestra 5-piece band by Efficient Music and also a performance by Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Chan Wa’s 24 Seasons Drum to add to the merriment of the event respectively; along with other fun-filled activities such as Chinese riddles, a food street and fun games to be enjoyed.
Visitors will also be delighted to know that for the fifth time consecutively, IJM Land’s Chap Goh Mei Celebration will be graced with a Chap Goh Mei Concert with the theme “Symphony of Love” by a star-studded cast of ASTRO artistes and celebrities including Jiang Han, Yoke, Geraldine, Kelly, Chris, Chezi, and many other well-known individuals in the Astro family as well, performing their special concert that will leave visitors completely in awe.
Dato’ Hoo said that celebrating Chinese New Year with the residents will strengthen their relationship and also have residents / potential buyers build up their trust in IJM Land in providing them the best development and services. “We want to assure our residents along with potential buyers that IJM Land not only respects diversity of all sectors, but we also want to portray to them our utmost commitment to place our customers at the heart of everything we do, constantly delivering at the right time with high quality and great attitude,” said Dato’ Hoo.
In addition, a myriad of joyful decorations ranging from a Cherry Blossom tree lighted with colourful LED lights to a brightly-lit Lover’s Bridge and many more dazzling displays will make for spectacular photo opportunities, and there will be walkabouts by the prosperous Gods of Wealth “Fuk Lok Sau” (Three Wise Men) with special giveaways to visitors including unlimited balloon fun twisting with clowns. The first 800 visitors will also receive a festive gift at the redemption counter from 7.00pm onwards and the event will culminate with a dazzling fireworks display at about 11:00pm.
