Eric Lim; Hartamas Real Estate Group’s Founder and Group Managing Director was recently voted as the Malaysian Institute of Estate Agents (MIEA) president. He has taken an active role in MIEA Council of Management since 2003 through various positions as the councilor, vice president and finally deputy president before being elected.

In addition, Eric was a board member of The Board of Valuers, Appraisal & Estate Agents serving for nine-years since 2007. The Board are the regulator for valuation, property management and estate agents in Malaysia.
As the newly elected president, Eric hopes to attract and expand the membership in MIEA, set-up MIEA Real Estate School and provide more educational courses in the subject matter to enhance the professional conduct of real estate negotiators.
Apart from this, he will forge closer ties with the police and the board to tackle the issue of illegal agents, set-up task force to assist smaller agencies and also those principal who are in the aging group, while communicating and promoting the services of Registered Estate Agency with developers.
