Celebrate the Unique Splendour of Mid-Autumn Festival with IJM Land’s ‘Harvest Under The Moon’
A moon-lit fairytale wonderland at The ARC, Bandar Rimbayu
For one night only, the lush green beauty of The ARC, Bandar Rimbayu was transformed into a mystical fairy-tale forest with immediate families and esteemed guests joining hands under a bright moonlit sky to celebrate the annual Mid-Autumn Festival. Its designated theme of the evening, ‘Harvest Joy & Unity Under the Moon’ was organized by IJM Land Berhad. The festive celebration was held on 25 September 2016 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm amidst the lantern-bedecked gardens of The ARC at Bandar Rimbayu. Participants were treated to a plethora of local delicacies along with a complimentary selection of gourmet mooncakes and fresh pomelos – serenaded by a Chinese orchestra which played a repertoire of classic and contemporary selections.
Visitors got to feast their eyes as they stroll along a series of intricate landscaping, moonlit paths and specialty themed areas such as the gaily lit Lovers’ Bridge, which resembles the love story and sympathetic sacrifices of Chang’E to Hou Yi in ancient years. Guests were also treated to various sight-seeing tours of the resplendent Garden by the Creek and the Mystical Forest. Roiling coils of smoke, giant lanterns in all shapes and sizes gently swaying in the wind and strings of lovely lights bedecked the trees and landscape, offering a host of exciting photo sessions and snapshots for close acquaintances as well as intimate loved ones.
The mystical ambience, beautifully-lit trees and multi-coloured lanterns captivated and enthralled guests as they admired the magically-transformed landscape. During times long past, Mid-Autumn Festival is a time to renew old ties and bonds with friends as well as family. The same held true today under the moonlight as guests mingled, created new bonds and warmly renewed old ties even as they shared stories and nostalgic memories of this truly unforgettable and magical moment.
