‘SAMA-SAMA’ EAT PLAY BOND AT TROPICANA!
A family campaign to “eat, play and bond” for 4 consecutive weekends at 4 property galleries while reliving fond childhood memories of the past and sharing with younger generations, featuring 20 traditional games at every venue and over 50 games overall!
Tropicana is the developer behind 4 developments within Klang Valley which will see 20 traditional games in each development and over 50 games as whole to be hosted for 4 consecutive weekends in a row, from the last weekend of September to mid-October. These traditional games will be made available through its Eat.Play.Bond-themed ‘Sama-Sama’ campaign at Tropicana Heights on 24 and 25 September, at Tropicana Aman on 1 and 2 October, at Tropicana Metropark on 8 and 9 October and at Tropicana Gardens on 15 and 16 October. It is hoped these will bring back some of those simple pleasures to family.
When Ung Lay Ting, Senior General Manager for Marketing and Sales of Tropicana Corporation Berhad (“Tropicana”) thinks about the good old days, she remembers spending time to play traditional games as a kid with her friends and family. She remembers the simple pleasures, like congkak, hopscotch and skipping rope. Ung believes parents want their children to look back on their childhood fondly and she wants to provide these opportunities to these parents. No kid is going to look back on their formative years, nudge their sibling and says, “Remember we sat on the couch all afternoon and played Candy Crush?”
Known as Tropicana Heights, the development encompasses 199 acres of freehold land, replete with lush greenery. It is anchored by a 16-acre Central Park with a 750 meter linear lake, dedicated private community parks, seamless pedestrian walkway, including its very own recreational and commercial hub, all of which are complemented by beautiful landscaping and parkland views. Tropicana Aman is situated next to the growing affluent neighbourhood of Kota Kemuning. It encompasses 863 acres of idyllic setting that offers an array of facilities and features such as a generous 85-acre central linear park that accompanies its own lake, a 7km vehicular free bike trail, jogging path and green spaces that draw people into a life of peace, tranquility and relaxation. It also features a central community clubhouse with a sport centre, as well as the famed and prestige TENBY International School.
Set to transform and elevate the vibrancy of Subang Jaya, the 88-acre Tropicana Metropark offers serviced residences, retail units, business suites, SOHOs, office towers, shopping mall and GEMS International School that will be served by a network of highways, including a new RM106 million flyover that will directly link the development to the Federal Highway which will be completed by 2017. They are set to transform and elevate the vibrancy of Subang Jaya township. At the heart of this integrated project is a large green oasis covering some 9.2 acres making up Central Park, which features a man-made lake, pedestrian promenade and an F&B strip for alfresco indulgence. Tropicana Gardens in Kota Damansara is an integrated development featuring diverse components which include high-rise residences, designer office tower and a retail mall; all interspersed with lush green landscapes. This 17-acre development also has direct access to the elevated Surian Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station, which is scheduled to be operational by year end.
Situated at strategic locations that is equipped with great facilities, amenities, security, accessibility and connectivity, which allows for a more comprehensive and holistic lifestyle. These developments also replete with lush greenery that is much bigger than what authorities require of the developer; sustainable living and eco-friendly communities are something that they have always wanted to develop and promote. “It was really neat to be able to play these traditional childhood games those days and it is these simple pleasures that all the children should have access to now. It is important to make lasting memories with the kids. They will draw on these memories as they get older as a proof that they had a pretty good childhood. We want to re-create traditional childhood memories through this ‘Sama-Sama’ campaign with a series of traditional games. We want to provide opportunities for parents to create lasting memories with their little offspring in the comfort of our 4 signature developments. These 4 developments essentially encapsulate Tropicana’s unique DNA, one that is built on the cornerstone of accessibility, connectivity, innovative concepts and designs, generous open spaces, amenities, facilities, multi-tiered security and quality. It’s going to be an unmatched lifestyle opportunity for the homeowners who settle down at any of these developments. They will enjoy all the value-added features we are offering. We are excited to see our developments turning into much more of community meeting places in a few years from now. If we can pull it off, we may organize these traditional games at our developments more often because it is not just our memories. These traditional games will teach the children how to build new social networks, provide early pashing opportunities and foster family bonds the old ways through face to face interaction.” – Ung Lay Ting, Senior General Manager for Marketing and Sales, Tropicana Corporation Berhad.
