Visitors had a wide variety of home decorations to choose from.
Some say renovations are a true test of a relationship. Some fall apart as the house is being put together.
With the two editions of the Malaysia International Renovation Expo 2011 held from 23 to 25 September at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre and 11 to 13 November at Putra World Trade Centre, more commonly known as REX, families were not only being offered with total home improvement solutions, it was also a wholesome and fun outing for the whole family.
Building on the success of the last exhibition in May which was held at Mid Valley and visited by over 65,000 people, the three day event featured over 350 booths showcasing some of Malaysia’s best renovation services and products. The event was overflowing with competitions, new products, great ideas and fun for the whole family.
One of the great attractions at the exhibition was the vast range of products being showcased. There were over 20,000 products with some remarkable markdowns on goods direct from the factory.
On top of that, it was an opportunity for new and existing home owners to meet experts who could give them advice and renovation tips on how to rejuvenate, refresh and reinvigorate their homes. This includes help in personally customizing or creating their own design, with guidance on how to incorporate green living and innovative products in their home.
For the first time in Malaysia, REX featured a specialized REX renovation service & ID room. It was a great occasion to meet some of Malaysia’s leading industrial experts in addition to getting free consultation on subjects such as air conditioning, painting, carpentry, lock smith, plaster ceilings and latest trends, definitely a great one-stop Renovation Platform.
Apart from home improvement opportunities, it was also a fun day for the whole family, with over RM30,000 worth of prizes given away. Among some of the activities held was a purchaser’s award scheme, PWP and a loop-a-prize completion especially for purchasers at the event.
The event in September also saw the official launching of the REX Buddy mascot while the REX Junior Search gave young performers, under the age of 8 years old, a chance to showcase their talents on stage.
A total of RM10,000 in cash and prizes was given out to the winners of the competition.
