For the people at SMART International Property Expo, smart is the only way to go. As one of the longest and most sought after property investment showcase in Asia, 2010 presented a fresh and new canvas to paint with colorful events. We spoke to Hoi Cheung, Founder and Director of Corporate Consumer Communications Ltd (3:C) to find out more for the coming year.
What does SMART have in store for 2011?
We will continue to run shows where we feel there are buyers genuinely looking for overseas property. There are many cities in Asia that we are exploring to expand the SMART shows.
SMART’s highlights and achievements in 2010?
In 2010, we organized our 20th expo in Asia. Since 2004, SMART has opened its doors to over 1,500 exhibitors and over 100,000 quality visitors. We now receive media support from some of the largest media groups in Asia including Singapore Press Holdings, Sing Tao and others.
What are your goals for 2011?
Our main goal is to expand to more cities and continue to offer a platform for investors to meet overseas developers. There’s still a massive appetite from rich investors in Asia to invest abroad and SMART remains the premier platform for international developers to reach into individual markets in Asia without spending a hefty sum on the usual marketing costs.
What’s new in 2011?
We have quite a few new features for 2011. As the market evolves we will continually evolve our program in bringing the best investment options for local investors. These include themed pavilions based on investment nature, to award winning projects, to new forms or ways of investing in property.
Why should people come to these events?
The SMART shows aim to educate investors looking for other investment options in two days under one roof. We run over 20 free-to-attend seminars at each SMART show. These programs showcase different investment options from around the world and teach investors how to invest and avoid pitfalls.
Why should exhibitors participate in these events?
It is much more cost effective to join SMART Expo as an exhibitor than run a private event. We have over 20 media partners for each show pushing out over US$200,000 worth of advertising alone.
