The New Gateway for Subang and USJ Folks

da:mén means “the Gateway’ in Mandarin and this word has been adopted as the name of a mixed development project in USJ, Selangor. Proposed works will soon take off in the allocated nine acres of prime land earmarked for the project. It is located at the strategic intersection fronting Jalan Kewajipan and Jalan Subang Permai.

This joint development project between Revenue Concept Sdn Bhd (landowner) and Equine Park Country Resort Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Equine Capital Berhad (developer) is targeted for completion in 2014. da:mén, launched in late June this year, is poised to become the ultimate urban escape in the Klang Valley especially for the Subang Jaya and USJ community.

A freehold development, it is surrounded by established residential and commercial developments within close proximity to internationally-acclaimed medical centres and fifteen colleges and universities. This makes it a ready catchment for 1.2 million residents of middle- to upper-middle class within 20 minutes drive from the entire Subang Jaya-USJ community. Another catalyst for da:mén’s attraction will be the proposed development of a light railway transit (LRT) station expansion into Subang Jaya, which upon its completion, would complement the present public transportation in the vicinity.

The da:mén retail mall focused on category retailing, offering choices and variety of brands and lifestyle shops. It measures 400, 000 sq ft and spreads across seven levels. Each level of the mall will be dedicated to offer a multitude of shops focused on the following categories: Beauty Kingdom; Fashion Add Ons; T4 : Tech,Track, Travel & Toys;   and Leisure & Entertainment.

The Food Haven on the lower ground floor will have an open-air boulevard for alfresco dining and an enclave of exciting F&B outlets, bistros, cafes and delis. Food Republic, by the BreadTalk Group based in Singapore signed as one of the key anchor tenants in the F&B segment. Joining Food Republic are several other major F&B chains with operations within the region, some making their first foray into Malaysia’s vibrant F&B market. A premium supermarket has also been signed.

Integrated to the entire development will be the da:mén serviced apartments comprising two 23 story towers with a choice of five well-designed layouts. They have their own private enclave and all other modern conveniences and services such as the dedicated ultra-chic facilities deck with infinity-edge pools. There are 480 units available for sale, with built up areas ranging from 723 sq ft to 1,100 sq ft. Prices start from RM350,000 onwards.

Another segment of da:mén will be the shop offices with high visibility fronting two major roads – Jalan Kewajipan and Jalan Subang Permai. The 68 units of modern design shop offices consists of 2-, 5- and 6-story shop offices with easy and convenient access and frontage ideal for corporate office, financial institutions, restaurants and showrooms. There will also be ample parking to ensure total convenience for tenants and visitors. Similar to the serviced apartments, the shop offices are also connected to the rest of the development.

The serviced apartments and shop offices are now open for registration with 80% of the shop offices sold.
