Uplifting the lives of the less fortunate as we celebrate Hari Raya
Seremban, 30 May 2019 – The Holy Month of Ramadan is coming to an end and in preparation of the festive Raya season, well-known developer IJM Land Berhad makes way for their annual “Program Mesra Ramadan” in spreading the joy of Raya and uplifting the spirits of five underprivileged families in Seremban 2. Always determine to help the less fortunate in the smallest way possible, IJM Land made it its mission to enrich their lives by providing them with the basic provisions, spreading love and bringing positive change to the less fortunate in preparation of the Raya celebrations.

Dato’ Hoo Kim See, Senior General Manager (Central Region) of IJM Land Berhad said that this initiative brings IJM Land closer to the community and gives the underprivileged a chance to get attention, care and love. “This is a good platform for IJM Land to foster closer ties with our community as we strengthen and develop humanity by lending a helping hand to the community in which we are living in,” said Dato’ Hoo. “Festive season is a time for sharing and caring, and as responsible individuals, we should not neglect the less fortunate and be a part of a meaningful initiative in providing assistance in order for them to rebuild their lives moving forward.”
The initiative was led by Dato’ Hoo and staff members of IJM Land Seremban 2, and also joined by honourable guest Yang Berhormat Puan Nicole Tan Lee Koon, Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Bertindak Hal Ehwal Wanita, Keluarga dan Kebajikan, Exco & Adun Bukit Kepayang. All five families were presented with goodie bags comprising grocery items of cooking oil, rice, festive cookies, detergent and many others to help ease their burden in preparing and celebrating a blissful Raya. Among the recipients benefiting from this charity programme is Hafizudden bin Shahril, an 11-year-old child whose mother passed away and father is bedridden due to stroke. Additionally, each family received ‘Duit Raya’ of RM300 as part of IJM Land’s effort in adding joy to the Holy month of Raya.
Dato’ Hoo added that this tiny gesture from IJM Land educates the community on the importance of working towards the betterment of the society, elevating the standards of living and quality of life, and making it a better place to live. “IJM Land consistently reaches out and has never failed to play a crucial role towards the underprivileged in the hopes of providing a safe and comfortable living situation for them,” said Dato’ Hoo. “We hope our initiative and efforts will not only encourage the younger generation to come forward but to also create an awareness for them to contribute to the needy during festive seasons.” For more information on the above initiative, please log on to http://seremban2.ijmland.com/
