BOLTON Chalks Up 80% Sales For The Wharf Residence Waterfront Apartments

More than 80% units of the first block of The Wharf Residence waterfront apartmefants were snapped up by eager buyers during its official launch last weekend. The latest offering by BOLTON Berhad (BOLTON) has set a new benchmark for highrise living in Puchong and has further raised Taman Tasik Prima’s profile as a desired residential address here. The Wharf Residence is the residential component of the developer’s award winning “The Wharf” lifestyle integrated development.

The Wharf commercial development sits on a strategically located 15-acre tract within the 345- acre leasehold Taman Tasik Prima development – an integrated township of mixed residential and commercial development that enjoys excellent connectivity via Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong and the Kesas highway. The integrated 3-in-1 development features boutique showroom offices and flexi suites, serviced apartments and a retail mall. The Wharf won an award in the BestMixed Use category for Malaysia at the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2011 in conjunction with Bloomberg Television held in Shanghai, China in May this year.

The Wharf Residence comprises three blocks of high-rise towers featuring 1,002 high-end apartments overlooking the 200-acre Tasik Prima. The first block, Tower 8, houses 334 units and offers built-up areas ranging from 795 sq ft to 1,173 sq ft, with two or 3+1 bedrooms respectively.

The successful sales take-up of The Wharf Residence’s first block, with a Gross Development Value of RM105 million, follows the extraordinary performance of BizWalk showroom offices which was sold out within three months when The Wharf was officially unveiled last year. The developer is confident the remaining units of the first block of The Wharf Residence will be snapped up before the year ends.

With an affordable starting price from RM275,130, the layout of the units was designed with practicality and functionality in mind and is envisioned to take suburban high-rise living to a different standard. The Wharf Residence apartments offer stylish and comfortable living spaces within a distinctive environment which offer full condo facilities including swimming pool, children’s pool, gymnasium, playground, yoga zone, jogging track and a lush landscaped garden. One of its unique features is the large external storage room for each unit which is located on their respective floors, which is something that has not been offered before in the Puchong area.

During the launch weekend, BOLTON Executive Chairman Datuk Azman Yahya said Taman Tasik Prima has emerged as one of the preferred townships in Puchong on the strength of its meticulous planning and innovative product offerings.

“At Bolton, we continue to push the envelope in terms of creativity and innovation. What we are launching is based on thorough market research of what consumers want to see in apartment living, and as a result, I am very pleased to announce that we have sold 70% of Tower 8 units prior to the launch event”, Azman said.

An important factor leading to The Wharf Residence’s favorable take-up rate is Bolton’s track record in creating value and capital appreciation for its customers.

Azman added, “When we first began developing Taman Tasik Prima 10 years ago, what we had planned was to achieve RM500 million in terms of Gross Development Value. Today, Taman Tasik Prima’s Gross Development Value is in excess of RM1 billion, with The Wharf development itself being valued at more than RM500 million”.

The first component of The Wharf, the BizWalk comprising 32 units of boutique 3-storey showroom offices which carried a price tag of RM2.2 million each totaling RM81 million, was launched in August 2010 and sold out almost immediately. BOLTON plans to follow up this success with the launch of the specially-designed Flexi Suites, a versatile 2-in-1 commercial offering. The upcoming retail mall would further strengthen the appeal of The Wharf Residence. The mall which has a Gross Floor Area of 506,510 sq ft and 1,296 car park bays, is expected to be completed by 2013 and there would be a link bridge from the apartments to the mall, providing integrated convenience to the residents.

Among the activities which took place during the weekend launch of The Wharf Residence at the Bolton Studio sales gallery include horse carriage rides, a games corner with Wii consoles, sand art, air box, and free goodies and tattoo stickers for kids.
