“SpongeBob SquarePants is a popular cultural icon, and our main focus of having SpongeBob as the run ambassador is to promote a healthy lifestyle and encourage a special time for family fun and togetherness during the school holidays. SpongeBob SquarePants is a pop culture icon with more friends on Facebook than the Beatles. Now, we are taking SpongeBob into the world of running! We want to help promote a healthy lifestyle and encourage family fun and bonding for all who are young at heart through the SpongeBob Run during the upcoming school holidays. SpongeBob SquarePants is also the highest rated children’s cartoon show in Nickelodeon. SpongeBob SquarePants has won the hearts of Malaysians amongst the young and young at heart, which is why we are working closely with Nickelodeon to give kids, families and adult fans a playful entertainment experience at the SpongeBob Run.” – Mr. Liew Kok Boon, Director of Paxgon Communications Sdn.
