MCIEA Award for Best Project – Naza Engineering & Construction
NAZA’s quest toward seeking excellence in building & construction in Malaysia
Naza Engineering & Construction Sdn Bhd (NAZA EC) was awarded Best Project under the major building category which is for buildings above RM100 million, by the Malaysian Construction Industry Excellence Awards (MCIEA). Naza EC’s Chief Operating Officer, Md. Arifin Naim was present to receive the company’s major industry award from Tan Sri Dr. Ir. Ahmad Tajuddin Ali, Chairman of CIDB during the award gala dinner held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Kuala Lumpur recently. Naza EC won the award for Naza Tower, a 50-storey office building within the 9.1 acre mixed integrated development of Platinum Park. The tower is located at Persiaran KLCC, Kuala Lumpur adjacent to the iconic Petronas Twin Towers. Naza EC’s Managing Director, SM Faliq SM Nasimuddin is confident that this award will be one of many more to come. Naza EC was also instrumental in the construction of the entire Naza Tower from start to finish.
“Naza EC may be relatively new in the industry but its team’s diverse experience and expertise provides strong fundamentals for exponential growth with the capability to take on mega projects. As a Bumiputera-status company with a Grade G7 certification from the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), Naza EC is poised to be a key player in the industry.” – SM Faliq SM Nasimuddin, Managing Director, Naza EC
Naza EC’s order book is in excess of RM1.8 billion as of September 2016, covering both completed and current projects. Its other existing projects include Malaysian International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), TTDI Dualis, TTDI Grove, TTDI Ascencia and TTDI Alam Impian: Phases 1A, 1E and 1F. Naza Tower at Platinum Park is the first helical-shaped office building in Kuala Lumpur. The tower’s slim cylindrical structure reduces reflection and wind deflection to the ground but maximizes daylight views of Kuala Lumpur’s skyline as a result of its cylindrical core design.
This single-block GBI (i.e. Green Building Index) certified building has a net floor space area of 532,470 sq. ft. Material used for the construction of Naza Tower are of sustainable-type materials with reduction of water and electricity consumption. Motion sensors and Variable Voltage Variable Frequency (VVVF) motors are installed in the lifts to reduce electricity consumption. NAZA Engineering & Construction Sdn. Bhd. was established in 2010 to complement the business of NAZA TTDI Group of Companies (NAZA TTDI). Naza EC also has the added advantage of the combined resources of Naza TTDI and the Naza Group. This synergy adds strength to Naza EC’s business fundamentals as well as providing a competitive advantage in terms of pricing, quality assurance, and a shorter project completion timeline.
NAZA EC offers complete construction solutions and services with specialization in civil engineering and infrastructure works.
