How do you feel about your win in the MPA?

Koe Peng Kang, Chief Executive Officer of Bandar Eco-Setia Sdn Bhd

When we won at that time, of course we feel very happy about it. But the important thing is, when we first started the project, a lot of people perceived that this is going to hit the wrong economic cycle; being in the backyard of Klang, you will have a difficulty to sell; and it will be a failure. But mostly, it’s not about personal feeling. When we work for an organization and with supportive shareholders, we cannot allow a failure of that magnitude.

We are very happy in a sense that with the visionary Group MD Tan Sri Liew Kee Sin who have actually guided us through this difficult time of past five to six years. We have done a lot of activities; we have put in so much effort.

Finally, we feel happy and relieved that we have lived out the expectations of the shareholders, who have believed in us despite all odds, and to be able to fulfill the trust that people had put on us. Now, we feel that we have learned enough to continue to make the success even bigger.

This valley of dreams in Setia Eco Park has recently turned into a reality with its first completed phase – Precinct 3 awarded the Low Rise Residential Development Winner. Comprising only bungalow lots, and masterfully crafted bungalows and semi-detached homes, the 791-acre Setia Eco Park resonates a fine orchestration of a greater greener agenda where 25% of the land has been designated for green spaces, themed gardens, waterways and lush walkways.
